Coraline

Coraline
by Neil Gaiman (2002)
Ooooo, spooooky... a little ghost story, clever and imaginative and humorous in the expected excellence of Gaiman's style. A girl in a big house with quirky neighbors and a mysterious door to nowhere...

Did you ever read "Good Omens: The Nice and Acurate Prophesies of Agnes Nutter, Witch"? HILARIOUS! (Neil Gaimon was one of the authors) Not a kid's book but certainly laugh out loud funny.

I *totally* loved this book and found it really scary. Then my kids read it and found it only somewhat scary. Maybe it's because it's almost like a nightmare; it really is more psychological than physical.

Hey, TeacherDad. First off, thanks for stopping by my blog! (Ages ago, I know - I've been lax in following up on my comments)

I've been looking at Coraline for awhile now. Seems like it should be a great read, Gaiman-fashion.
